There are many different tools that map what is going on. We have listed some of the most useful below:
LA County Coordinated Joint Information Center (CJIC) Updates
Traci Park Newsletter - Regular updates from Councilwoman Traci Park
Protect Pali initiative - A resident-led Palisadian resource to provide a database of people who are thinking they would want to sell their lot, or acquire a lot. Transactions are currently prohibited as per Governor Newsom's bill.
Red Guide to Recovery, written in the aftermath of the Tubbs fire has a comprehensive overview of what you should do post disaster.

Many WhatsApp groups were launched by residents and agencies after the fire. Many are dedicated to different sections of the Palisades whilst others are dedicated to specific topics. A list of some are below. There is no authoratative index. Some groups can be joined straight away, some require the approval of a moderator. This depends on the policies of the people who formed them.

A block captain plays a crucial role in fostering a sense of community within a neighborhood. They act as a direct support system for residents, helping them navigate difficult decisions, whether personal, logistical, or community-related. Block captains are often the first point of contact when a resident has a concern or needs assistance, providing guidance, comfort, and resources. They also help build community spirit by organizing neighborhood events, encouraging social interactions, and ensuring that everyone feels connected and supported. Their role is one of leadership and compassion, fostering a sense of belonging and mutual aid among neighbors.
On the other hand, neighborhood representatives (reps) support block captains by taking on a more organized, logistical role. These reps are responsible for handling more complex questions or issues that require expertise or involvement from outside sources. When a resident or block captain faces a problem that cannot be solved locally, neighborhood reps step in to connect them with experts, local agencies, or government services. They serve as advocates and problem-solvers, ensuring that issues are addressed and that residents have access to the right resources. In this way, neighborhood reps not only provide practical solutions but also bring a sense of hope to the community by ensuring that no problem goes unaddressed.
Together, block captains and neighborhood reps create a strong network of support, each playing a vital role in helping residents feel safe, heard, and valued. Their combined efforts contribute to a resilient and cohesive community where residents know they can rely on one another for help and support.

Yes? There is a major and ongoing concern about the monitoring and awareness of Environmental Surveys. Here are some projects we can volunteer into and improve our understanding of the situation.

Sue Pascoe (Circling the News) has written two very good articles on the process and implications.

A follow up regarding fencing.
TEAM PALISADES negotiated discounted rates for fencing with National Construction Rentals for
fire affected families in the Palisades. The contract is for a year. Price is locked in for the duration of
the rental with NO yearly increase.
As listed below, there may be additional fees for fencing that are not part of the rental contract.
Some can be avoided if:
-The lot is easily accessible, not far from the street, or on a steep hillside.
-The homeowner can provide a photo of the property with the lot size, saving the cost of an
estimator going out to the property. I have attached a Lower Marquez index from The City of Los
Angeles that has lot dimensions for easy reference.
National has updated the discounted price list to include construction related support equipment.
TEAM PALISADES has no affiliation with National Construction Rentals who is offering these rates
to those affected in the Palisades as a community resource. We encourage you to do your own
research.
That said, you must mention that you were referred by TEAM PALISADES with a Palisades
address to get the discount.
