On grief | Cynthia Meyersburg, PhD
Clinical psychologist and Harvard lecturer Cynthia Meyersburg, Ph.D talks about grief and recommends resources in this clip from “After the L.A. Fires: Strategies for Resilience and Recovery” webinar with the Harvard Club of Southern CA.
In the midst of, and wake of, major life disruption, trauma, and loss:
It is normal to feel exhausted.
It is normal to feel distress and sorrow.
It is normal to to feel discouraged, overwhelmed, and/or on edge.
When you are in a dangerous situation, it is your job to get to safety. Then, once you are safe, you contend with the load from what has happened.
