  • Volunteer Roles

    There are so many ways to get involved. You might become a Block Captain— the trusted neighbor who connects, informs, and supports Palisadians on your street, block, or cluster of homes. Or choose to become a Neighborhood Rep to oversee an entire neighborhood or zone and serve as the primary liaison between Block Captains and Team Palisades leadership. Jump in with your time and expertise as a General Volunteer, or offer in-kind services and support as a Community Partner! There’s lots of room around the table and we welcome your involvement.

  • Be the trusted neighbor who connects, informs, and supports Palisadians on your street, block, or cluster of homes.

    What you'll do:

    • Maintain a contact list of neighbors

    • Share vetted updates and resources

    • Conduct periodic check-ins

    • Coordinate hyperlocal needs

    Commitment: Moderate (biweekly or monthly engagement with neighbors)

    Note: Block Captains point neighbors to trusted resources but don't serve as case managers.

  • Oversee an entire neighborhood or zone and server as the primary liaison between Block Captains and Team Palisades leadership.

    What you'll do:

    • Coordinate communication across multiple blocks, including multi-family units and businesses

    • Surface neighborhood needs and priorities to Team Palisades leadership

    • Support and inform Block Captains

    • Participate in strategy sessions and rebuilding discussions

    • Attend weekly Team Palisades meetings

    Commitment: High (weekly engagement, leadership role)

  • Help us support, recruit, and inform our Block Captains and Neighborhood Reps

    Commitment: about 5 hrs/wk

  • Jump in where you're needed — at events, with your expertise, or by spreading the word.

    Ways you might help:

    • Staff community events (greeting, check-in, setup)

    • Share your professional expertise on specific topics

    • Help amplify Team Palisades through your networks

    • Support one-time projects as they arise

  • Contribute space, services, or in-kind resources to support community initiatives.

    What you might offer:

    • Venue space for meetings or events

    • Specialized skills for specific projects

    • Professional services

    • Equipment, supplies, or other in-kind resources
